We encourage all our New Zealand customers to take part in the Accommodation Data Programme (ADP), New Zealand’s only official statistics for the accommodation sector.
The ADP is managed by Fresh Info Ltd on behalf of the government and is endorsed by all major industry associations.
Participating is easy, free, 100% voluntary and comes with some great benefits.
The results include trends on number of properties, occupancy, and guest volume statistics, by property type (e.g. backpackers) and geography. Users can access the time series, regional breakdowns, or download the full dataset to delve deeper themselves.
The benefit is a collective benefit, in the sense that when everyone participates, the results become more accurate.
The ADP asks you to submit an AbodeBooking report that contains your monthly occupancy information and total number of guests.
To provide ADP with your accommodation data, select Reports > Accommodation Survey in AbodeBooking. Select the previous calendar month, and click the Email icons accordingly.
For a more detailed description, please refer to our article in the Abode Knowledge Base.
In return for providing the data, you will receive monthly statistics in your inbox.
If you are not yet registered to receive email reminders and results, please go to www.accommodationdata.nz and hit the ‘Sign up’ button.
The data collection is monthly. The ADP will start the data collection for June 2021 from July 1st. Results notifications are sent around the 25th of each month.
If you have any questions about the Accommodation Data Programme, don’t hesitate to contact us or email andrea@freshinfo.co.nz directly.
