We made improvements to some features and added new ones to our system that will make managing your accommodation easier.
Banned Customers (Blacklist)
This feature allows properties to create a list of ‘blacklisted’ customers based on an email address.
On the booking page, any booking with a banned email address will be highlighted in red.
On the booking itself, the header title will be red with the word BANNED.
To add a customer, go to Settings > System > Banned Customers.
To test, simply add an email address to the Banned List and check the bookings.
Note: this feature is not available on Abode Basic.
Event Bar Update
The event bar has been updated, so it can show over-lapping events in multiple rows. It is also possible to change the colour on individual events.
Events can be viewed and updated by clicking on the event bar or using Settings > System > Events.
A new event can be added/deleted by right-clicking the event bar or using Settings > System > Events.
Xero – Uploading multiple days
It is now possible to upload multiple outstanding days in the month with one click.
Abode Booking Engine Update
We added a new iFrame option that shows available days for a single room type with drop-down selection to switch between room types.
This is a good option for properties with only one or two spaces.
The new iFrame option is fully responsive, so it can be viewed on mobile devices, and such as our default iFrame option, it supports parameters e.g. &nights etc.
To view this new option go to Settings > Website.
Income Forecast Report
We made our Income Forecast Report generally available to all our Abode users. As more direct bookings are paid in advance, our Income Forecast Report is becoming increasingly important to ensure properties can manage their cashflow more accurately.
This simple report shows the booked, prepaid and expected daily and total future income for each day of the period selected.
To view the report, go to Reports > Income Forecast.
